2022 Dean’s Grant Project Collaboration with Shinji Iwasaki

This project, a model stand for critique sessions funded by a 2022 Dean's Grant, is based on a simple observation: every architectural model contains its own ground plane.
This makes the traditional tabletop conceptually redundant. The design argues that instead of a plane, all that is necessary is a discrete field of points in space. These points support the model's world, allowing its own ground to float, independent and clearly defined.
